JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
  • One of the best practices in the world for advising customers on their most complicated cybersecurity, privacy, and digital risk issues is the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Information Governance Practice.
  • You will handle new risks, high-stakes investigations, and regulatory scrutiny on behalf of top multinational organizations, financial institutions, healthcare systems, and technology firms worldwide.
  • Cybersecurity incident response, regulatory defense, proactive readiness, and adherence to new state and federal privacy and cybersecurity regulations are the main responsibilities of the position.
  • You will collaborate closely with executives, forensic specialists, and partners on issues pertaining to board-level briefings, cross-regulator coordination, and multijurisdictional occurrences.
  • For some of the most advanced businesses in the world, associates in this group receive significant client contact early on and are crucial in determining legal strategy and operational preparedness.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
  • J.D. with outstanding academic credentials from a recognized law school.
  • Four to six years of experience at a prestigious AmLaw 50 or comparable national firm.
  • Experience in high-stakes litigation, cybersecurity, privacy, or regulatory defense is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills or a track record of interest in data governance, information security, or AI-related technologies.
  • Outstanding research, writing, and client communication abilities.
  • Texas practice admission (or waiver eligibility).
  • Experience working with forensics, interacting with regulators, or organizing cyber incident response.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks or standards (such as NIST and ISO 27001).
