As a Cybersecurity Field Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in helping protect critical infrastructure in the power and water industries. This role can be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA location. In this position, you will perform a variety of cybersecurity engineering functions related to the installation, service, and maintenance of Emerson’s cybersecurity products.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL: 

  • Gain significant knowledge on company products through existing training programs, hands-on experience, and individual concerted effort
  • Analyze and solve engineering problems associated with our cybersecurity systems
  • Assist in carrying out complex engineering assignments under the direction of more senior field engineers
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships with a focus on delivering total customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the writing, review, and revision of field related and/or operational procedures
  • Participate in team assignments aimed at problem resolution, project/product familiarization, and product testing and evaluation
  • Provide complete and timely reports on all activities with emphasis on defining problems encountered, services rendered, and customer reaction to the supplied product and services

WHO YOU ARE: You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships, you scan the environment for new technical skills, knowledge, or capabilities that can benefit business or personal performance and you know to prepare for unexpected outcomes and try different solutions.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 0-2+ years of experience
  • Be willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
    • Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. MUST be US Citizen or possess a Green Card

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

  • 5+ years of experience
  • CCNA, GICSP or equivalent certification
  • Experience working in the industrial control system industry (ICS) 
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles or related coursework
