IT & Cybersecurity Due Diligence Consultant

You will judge whether the target's systems can support the deal thesis, and whether a breach is waiting to happen. In industrial targets that means both enterprise IT and the plant floor.

You will judge whether the target's systems can support the deal thesis, and whether a breach is waiting to happen. In industrial targets that means both enterprise IT and the plant floor.
What you'll do
- Inventory infrastructure, applications, ERP, MES, and cloud environments.
- Audit software licenses for compliance, transferability, and hidden cost.
- Assess cybersecurity controls, incident history, and data security protocols.
- Review OT and industrial control system security, a key risk in manufacturing and smart factories.
- Check regulatory frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, SOC 2, HIPAA, or FDA data integrity rules.
- Estimate technical debt, separation or carve-out costs, and required capex.
- Plan Day 1 IT readiness, TSAs, and Industry 4.0 / digital transformation opportunities.
- After close, lead systems integration and cybersecurity remediation.
- 8+ years in IT leadership, IT advisory, or cybersecurity; prior M&A or carve-out experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar) and manufacturing systems.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
- Ability to turn technical risk into cost, timeline, and deal-term recommendations.
