Job Title: Area 31 Career Center - High School Early College Cybersecurity Instructor
Location: Area 31 Career Center at Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Instructor to teach dual credit courses in partnership with Vincennes University as part of our Early College program. This is a unique opportunity to help high school students gain college credit and industry-relevant skills in cybersecurity, while preparing them for future careers in a high-demand field.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct Vincennes University dual credit cybersecurity courses to high school students.
Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with postsecondary standards.
Integrate industry best practices and tools into curriculum and instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities (PLCs).
Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and staff regarding student success and progress.
Obtain the Indiana Workplace Specialist License through the Indiana Department of Education during the first year of employment.
Minimum Qualifications (must meet one of the following):
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, plus:
A minimum of two years of documented, relevant industry experience

2. A Master’s degree in a non-related field, plus:
Five or more years of relevant industry experience, and
A recognized industry certification in cybersecurity or a related area
Licensing Requirement:
Selected candidate must obtain the Indiana Workplace Specialist License within the first year of employment (support will be provided).
